A BIT OF HISTORY

Meet the person behind these interface graphics

Istvan Gergely began his journey in IT at a young age and later graduated as a Product Designer in Timișoara. During his university studies, he started working as a Graphics Designer and subsequently as a Multimedia Graphics Designer. It was during this period that he began animating graphics for various web development projects. A significant turning point in his career came when he moved to Hungary and started working as a Broadcast Motion Graphics Designer for a Hungarian television station, bringing him one step closer to the film industry. After three years in broadcast graphics, he decided to go freelance, working with several interesting startups and primarily creating TV ads for sports betting websites.

One of his friends was invited to work on a film, creating animated interface graphics for on-set playback, and he invited Istvan Gergely to join him. This marked his first film project, Strike Back 4. He was captivated by this type of work and decided to specialize in it. Over the years, he has worked on numerous films, continuously refining his workflow and learning with each project.

Eventually, he began making these graphics interactive, touchable, and playable. This led him to start coding interfaces and developing playback technology.

Today, with over 10 years of experience, he remains passionate about this work and continues to love what he does.
